Prepare to be captivated by the heartwarming tale of Aldo, the only trekker dog, whose journey commenced in 2007 when Mr. School of Art, Mumbai, and his partner Mrs. Sapna Kurhade, a Senior Cabin Crew member at Air India, adopted a black Labrador Retriever pup and named him Aldo. Contrary to expectations, Aldo didn't shy away from adventure and, instead, embraced the challenging terrains of historical forts, Sahyadri Mountains, and jungles across Maharashtra. Aldo accompanied the Kurhade couple on countless treks, demonstrating unparalleled dedication and courage. Despite being trained by the Mumbai Western Railway Police for drug and bomb detection, Aldo's true calling lay in the vast expanse of nature. The black Labrador Retriever became a titleholder at the Dog Show in Dombivli for two consecutive years, showcasing not only his adventurous spirit but also his impressive skills. Aldo's unwavering commitment to the trekkers' community is evident in his numerous conquests, including the highest forts like Salher, Mulher, Ratangad, Sudhagad, and many more across Maharashtra. As a trailblazing explorer dog, Aldo faced and conquered challenging natural conditions, endearing himself to the community with his indomitable spirit. More than just a pet, Aldo became an integral part of the trekking team, joining them in the mud, and jungle, and even swimming alongside them during river crossings. Over a decade of adventure, Aldo explored over 80+ historical forts, leaving an indelible mark on every trekker's heart.
