For years, we were told that all ghee is the same.
But when I started learning more about traditional nutrition, I realized there is a huge difference between ordinary ghee and traditionally made A2 Bilona Ghee.
Why do I consume A2 Ghee?
✅ It is a natural source of healthy fats that support hormone production, brain function, and sustained energy.
✅ It contains important fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K, which help support immunity, bone health, and overall wellness.
✅ The traditional Bilona method preserves the natural goodness of milk instead of heavily processing it.
✅ It contains Omega-3 fatty acids and CLA (Conjugated Linoleic Acid), nutrients associated with better metabolic health.
✅ Ghee has been part of Indian households for centuries. Our grandparents used it daily, not as a luxury, but as a nourishing food.
How much should you consume?
For most healthy adults, 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 grams) of pure A2 Ghee per day is generally sufficient as part of a balanced diet. If you are physically active, strength training, or following a higher-calorie diet, you may consume a little more depending on your total calorie requirements.
Remember, ghee is nutrient-dense. 1 tablespoon (about 15 grams) provides approximately 135 calories. So the goal is not to eat more ghee, but to replace unhealthy fats and refined oils with a better-quality fat source.
The problem today is not ghee.
The problem is ultra-processed foods, excess sugar, refined oils, and a sedentary lifestyle.
Health is all about balance. Even the healthiest food should fit within your daily calorie intake and overall nutrition plan.
Sometimes the best nutrition isn’t something new.
It’s what our ancestors already knew.
