The discovery of a 2000 year old Roman tomb underneath the Piazza San Tommaso in Aquino on the 22nd of July 2020. 💀.
I remembered my Italian papà showing me fragments of pottery from the Roman era that he discovered whilst walking in the countryside. It’s amazing to think the long history of connection that Italy has with human civilisation. Makes me ponder... who is this person in the tomb? How did he die? Why was he buried in the main piazza in Aquino? 🤷🏻‍♀️.

Just sharing some of the latest earrings designs from mamma ❤️❤️🤩.
These earrings are inspired by traditional Italian lace patterns that mamma learnt from her own mamma and nona. When she showed me some of her hand crocheted lace patterns at Xmas ( the last time I saw her pre- COVID 😔), I suggested that those laces would look lovely as earrings. She made me a pair straight away the next day and together we modernised the designs. And ....et voila! 💁🏻‍♀️😍🧶.

Mamma’s latest creation for summer 😍🤩☀️.
This elegant summery top handle bag is made from turn- of- the century antique Italian handwoven h**p cloth, divided in half by a strip of hand crocheted twine where blue, white and opaque beads hang off it. It is adorned by 3 hand crocheted poppies in bloom with black beads sewn into the centre of the poppies. The bag is finished off with a pair of handmade red and navy blue tassels. The handle of the bag is made from bamboo and sourced from recycled shopping bag. The bag is closed with a magnetic clasp. Internally, the bag is lined with brown cotton material and there are 2 large internal pockets which are both can be closed with Velcro. ⭐️.

This is where the magic happens for Pizze Pezze!!! Which btw... is a word play on lace & pieces in Italy! This is Mamma’s work room. It has a little balcony that opens to a small vineyard across the road and if you turn your head to the right you can take in breathtaking scenery of the centro storico of Aquino! 🏛❤️ This where Mamma made loads clothes for me... a winter cape ( because apparently you can’t find warm clothes in London 😂), a dress jacket for a wedding occasion ( fashion out of Italy isn’t up to scratch 😮)... and many other things... her boys ( two typical Italian boys 🤦🏻‍♀️) love her hand knitted slippers! ❤️
