Hello everyone! 👋 This is the latest project I finished the night before — the academic bust Worker, sculpted by for the new miniature company . I started painting it during my demo at . I love these small busts because I can really focus on one thing and just relax. Even though it’s a simple bust, there are already so many interesting versions out there! Go check out to see more. I was quite happy with how it turned out, so I entered it into the Master Historical Painting category at MSS — and, to my surprise, it was awarded a silver. 🥈

This is my first entry to .miniatureart’s Astronaut Challenge 2025 – Beyond Your Imagination 2. I don’t think I need to explain which famous movie scene this references, right? 😁

The astronaut – well, at least what’s left of him – is in original 15 mm scale, and I hope it will be the most minimalistic entry in the challenge. This was also my first time doing a backdrop, so I had to start with something of an appropriate size. 😁

This challenge is amazing! I’m looking forward to seeing all the other entries. 😊

Today, I would like to show you more views of my recently finished bust for my Storytelling & Painting Workshop. Daniel did a really great job and prepared a fully customizable bust with different facial expressions, various weapons, multiple hand poses, and plenty of accessories. The high level of modularity allows anyone to create a wide variety of characters without any limits. Thank you, Daniel, for all your help in this complex project! 🩵

My first ideas led me to a dark tomb or forbidden kingdom, where a powerful lich argues with his alter ego in a way similar to Shakespeare’s famous “to be or not to be” scene. However, the debate is much darker, because the second head he is holding has been chopped off. What are they talking about and why? That is the question for you. :)

To make it more interesting and to try something different, I added a magical ice dagger with a freezing effect in his second hand. I really enjoyed the painting process, especially the dark atmosphere, and I’m looking forward to trying different versions together with my students at the workshop.

Today I’d like to show you my latest piece, finished just a day before Kontrast 2025. It took me a bit of time to take proper photos of it. The Private Acorn bust is from the talented sculptor .tsouhlos_sculptor, and I really enjoyed painting it after the more serious project of the bull in corrida. The skin tones were the most fun—I experimented with greens, blues, and purples, adding some textures. I used specifically by . I found them quite recently and really enjoy playing with these colors.
In my vision, the goblin feels more like a little imp. He’s using the real acorn as a helmet, and that’s why I made the necklace from copper, to create some contrast and distinguish it. The high reflections on the acorn surface were a bit of a challenge, and to avoid a flat white look, I also tried to add a touch of light diffraction.
I was also thinking about adding a little animal or insect on the helmet, but I’m not sure yet. What do you think? 😊

This time, I was lucky enough to receive two pins in Master Fantasy Painting categories and gold in Storytelling for my “Animal vs. Shadow” display. I’m really grateful for all the feedback and kind words — my batteries are fully charged. The 3rd piece in the series is already taking shape in my mind! 🧐

After a longer pause, I would like to share with you my most recent storytelling piece. After watching the amazing animated movie Ferdinand (2017) on Disney+, I decided to continue exploring a similar theme—like in my previous work on seal hunting—to support the global message behind it. Ferdinand is a gentle, peaceful bull who loves flowers and refuses to fight. However, he is mistaken for a fierce beast and taken from his home to be trained for the corrida. With the utmost sensitivity to this controversial topic and to Spanish culture, I delved into studying the tradition in depth, aiming to fully understand and experience it in all its aspects—not just superficially.

The bull pose is based on the Texas Longhorn bull model by BreathTime, available on , which I modified by resculpting the horns to create a Spanish fighting bull (toro bravo) in a defensive stance. The depicted banderillas, used in the “tercio de banderillas” (2nd phase of the corrida), and the two carnations are also custom-built.A feature that connects this piece to the previous one is the cast shadow of the bull’s enemy—the matador. This time, crafting an even more complex shadow proved to be a challenge. Many thanks to my fiancée for all her help and nights spent casting shadows on the floor, searching for the perfect reference for the matador’s silhouette. The final phase of the corrida, known as the “Tercio de Muerte”, is also the title of this story.

Understanding that it may be emotionally raw and difficult to process, I would love to hear how it resonates with you. Please feel free to share your thoughts and feelings about this topic or my interpretation of it. Is tradition an essential part of culture—no matter the cost?
