６月～８月１２日　盆提灯
８月中旬から１０月末までは作業場となりますので、商品は展示してございません。

**羽子板の羽を作っています。
羽子板の羽の打つ部分には、無患子（むくろじ）の黒い硬い実を使っています。
古くから“子どもに患いがないように”と願いを込めた、縁起の良い素材です。

今日は、柔らかなパステル色の羽も仕立てています。
色が変わるだけで、羽子板の表情がそっと優しくなります。**

**I am making the feather pieces for a hagoita.
For the striking part of the feather, I use the hard black seed of mukuroji (soapberry).
Traditionally, this material has been cherished as a symbol of good fortune,
carrying the wish that children grow up free from illness.

Today, I am also crafting soft pastel-colored feathers.
A change in color gently transforms the expression of the hagoita.**

つまみ細工のパーツが完成しました。
これから羽子板に取り付けていきます。

簪が二つ外れる仕様になっているので、
羽子板の飾りとしてだけでなく、七五三のお祝いにもお使いいただけます。

The decorations for the hagoita are coming together gently.
I’ve added soft tsumami-zaiku petals, shimmering silver strands,
and a light, flowing “sagari” that moves beautifully with the slightest motion.
These small details give the hagoita a tender, graceful expression.

先日投稿した座布団付きの特寸ケースには、もちろん箱も１点のみの誂えになります。
保護材を重ねて厳重に梱包し無事出荷をさせて頂きました。
大切な品が、無事お客様のもとへ届きますように。

The custom case with a seat cushion that I posted the other day also comes with a specially made box, crafted as a single bespoke piece.
After layering protective materials and securing everything with careful, heavy-duty packing, the item was safely shipped out.
May this precious piece reach its destination smoothly and in good condition.

Hello!
Today, I’d like to talk about the hands of the *Maneki-neko* (beckoning cat).

The bodies we receive from the artisans are designed to be easy for anyone to work with,
so the grooves where the arms attach look a bit like the logos of private railway companies.
However, if I were to assemble them exactly as they are, the look wouldn't be very appealing,
so I shift the position of the grooves slightly when attaching the arms.

Come, good fortune!
It’s a *Maneki-neko* that invites good luck. ^ ^

ご無沙汰しています

もう今年も半分を終え、後半期にはいりましたね
お尻に火がつかないと動き出せない私も、やっと動き出しました
羽子板のパーツにつける丸つまみのお花です。
この後の作業がまだまだ沢山有るのに、
干支にも目が行ってしまい、手が行ってしまい
なかなか一つ事が進みません

秋になったら一気に仕上げをする予定でパーツを作っていますが
最近の暑い夏からいつ秋になるのか・・・。 #節句飾り #日本の手仕事
なんだか完成品を見ないと飽きてしまうというか・・・。

Long time no see!

Half of this year has already passed, and we’re in the second half now.
I’m the kind of person who can’t get moving until the pressure’s on, but I’ve finally started working.
These are the small round flowers that go on the parts of a hagoita (decorative wooden paddle).
Even though there’s still so much work to do after this, my eyes keep wandering to the zodiac decorations, and I end up working on those instead, so I can’t seem to make progress on one thing.

I’m making the parts so that I can finish everything at once in the fall, but with this hot summer, I wonder when fall will actually come…
I feel like I’ll get bored if I don’t see the finished product…

I’ll do my best!!!

This little one's face is so cute that I couldn’t help but want to show it to everyone early❣

The sheep is a symbol of tranquility and harmony.
It is considered auspicious for family happiness, improved human relationships, good connections, and a peaceful life.
At the same time, the character '未' for the Year of the Sheep also implies the future, symbolizing growth and development yet to come.

We all want to spend our days with such a cheerful face, don’t we!!!
