The Story Behind This Design
The client asked for Isaiah 53:5 in light blue, with the Passion of Christ as the theme.
When I think about the cross, I think of two things: Suffering and Grace.
They may seem like two opposite things, but at the cross, they meet.
And for what?
All for love.
For the love of you.
So for this design, I made the thorns on the left to represent Christ’s suffering, and the flowers on the right to represent what came through His sacrifice:
Grace. Salvation. Healing. New life. Hope.
A reminder that the cross was not only a place of suffering, but also the place where God’s love and redemption were revealed.

このデザインができるまで
今回のご依頼は、イザヤ53:5を水色で、キリストの受難をテーマにしたデザインにというものでした。
私が十字架について考えるとき、思い浮かぶのは二つのこと。
「苦しみ」と「恵み」。
一見、正反対のもののように思える二つですが、
十字架で、その二つが一つになる。
そして、それは何のためだったのか。
すべては愛のため。
あなたを愛するため。
だからこのデザインでは、
左側のいばらでキリストの苦しみを、
右側の花で、その犠牲によって与えられたものを表しました。
恵み。救い。癒やし。新しいいのち。そして希望。
十字架は、ただ苦しみの場所だったのではなく、
神様の愛と救いが示された場所。
「その打ち傷によって、私たちは癒やされた。」
