現在、管理している茶畑の面積は約3ha(30000㎡※東京ドームの面積は46755㎡)です。
Wazuka, blessed with good climate and soil conditions, has been the historic production area of quality Sencha known for its rich aroma. Historically, it is said that the first tea in Wazuka was cultivated during the Kamakura Period near the foot of Mt. Jubu by High Priest Jishin of Kaijusenji Temple, when High Priest Myo-e of Togano-o, known as the founder of tea manufacturing, shared out the tea seeds with him. Records also show that tea seeds were sowed in a field of about 57 acres in the Harayama District of Wazuka, during the Tensho Period (1573-1592). This is exactly where the tea fields of Imanishi Tea Factory are located; in the Harayama District at the foot of Mt. We own a field of approximately 3 hectares (30,000 square meters; the Tokyo Dome has an area of 46,755 square meters). The cultivars are: native seedlings, Yabukita, Meiryoku, Samidori, Saemidori, Okumidori, Sayamakaori, Goko. Most tea leaves sold in common tea stores are blended with other leaves, trimmed off to the same size, sorted out by parts such as stems and leaves, or heated for flavoring, while the tea leaves at the Imanishi Tea Factory are called "aracha", which we harvest by ourselves and only undergo primary processing. We deliver fresh tea leaves (aracha) direct from the farm, packed by different breeds without any secondary processing.
