It’s been a while! I’ve been getting back into working in the diving industry once again and I’m in Okinawa! Started helping with coral restoration projects but I haven’t forgotten about one of the scariest pollutant of all!

Once interesting about the marine debris in japan is it hasn’t broken down like when I was in Hawaii. My art form is going to have to change a bit so im going to need some inspiration for these bigger pieces! Any ideas!?

Forgot to post the piece I made with teen center students a few months ago. I always draw inspiration for my art from the ocean. While living and diving in Japan I have found that macro life is abundant so I felt I had to make art of my local marine life 🐛🌊✨🇯🇵

Water bottle coral reef 🪸🍾

Trying something different with the kids by teaching them about corals and plastic pollution by reusing old water bottles and molding clay 🙏

Not done with my final product but the reef seems to be getting along swimmingly with my other ocean pieces.

Marine debris art wall is finally up at the youth center!

It has been challenging bringing my thoughts and passions to a new community, especially when the topic is never discussed. Luckily while pushing through, a small bit of awareness was received and I hope to keep shedding light on plastic pollution and its effects on marine life.

Sneak peek of my collaboration pieces with ✨

This amazing non profit provides kids who face extreme poverty with food, clean water and education. They work with the children who live in Bali’s landfill. The goal with plastic art is to bring awareness to the children’s living conditions along with the issue of plastic pollution and how much waste in being accumulated.

I was honored to help create art for their exhibit. As a marine debris artist I chose to make a manta with a plastic angel reaching up to it. Showcasing that the ocean animals also face problems from plastic pollution. All marine debris and plastic for these pieces were collected from east facing beaches on Kauai and St. Martin.

Hey guys!

I haven’t posted in a while because I’ve moved from Kauai to the Caribbean! Im working on a liveabaord and miss cleaning up our beaches. So while our boat is in port we got the chance to team up with for a clean up and survey! It’s sad the amount of cigarette butts we found! Over 300 in one hour of cleaning up. Pick up your butts folks!
