Today we closed the shop early to go on a ride in Chatan for tacos at and Tony's last ride in Okinawa. Tony rode with us most weekends for two years, a brave rider who often took the lead to clear the spiders. We'll miss him!

Just a little micro trail. Work in progress. It isn't much, but it rewards precision handling at pretty slow speeds so would be a great little training trail for basically all riders gets them familiar with tight situations common on Okinawa trails. Very repeatable so you could really have fun and practice it.

Even getting up the trails is an adventure!
This time we also had to trim a fallen tree, which made a cool little jungle archway. We don't always ride with chainsawas, but snippers are good because the vines here are insane. Interestingly, we didn't seem to have a lot of giant spiders this summer. After this next typhoon, the mini chainsaw will likely have more work to do.

our largest soon to be ready and first XC full suspension trail bike rental needs new grips, but which one? These Ergon GA2, while not my favorite, are a favorite of many and where frequently special ordered by riders who had them and considered them the best grips ever for them. And they come in many colors! Of course, none that match the bike, but that doesn’t mean it can’t look good!

super sweet group ride today! Thank you everyone for joining on the Okinawa Mountain Biking Association (facebook group) Saturday morning ride. These rides are extra cool since I get to draw up a unique route mixing whatever I and the group feel like doing. This particular one I wanted to be a welcoming mostly chill route but with a bunch of cutty jungle surprises to keep the experience fresh and exciting for me, the new riders, and the regular riders. Be a rider, ride with us! (but make sure your bike is tuned first!)
