Why Corido Can’t Buy Everything

At Corido, we receive many requests every day from people looking to sell their household and business items. However, we cannot buy everything offered to us.

We selectively buy items that meet our current buying threshold based on factors such as:

* Condition – The item should be clean, functional and in reasonably good condition.
* Resale demand – We prioritise items that our customers are actively looking for.
* Price – The seller’s expected price must leave enough room for inspection, collection, repairs where necessary, storage and resale.
* Resale speed – We consider how quickly the item is likely to find another buyer.
* Available stock – We may decline a good item simply because we already have enough similar items.
* Logistics and storage – Very bulky or difficult-to-move items may not make commercial sense for us to purchase.
* Category – Some types of items may not currently fall within what Corido is buying.

A good item is therefore not automatically an item Corido can buy.

Our buying team selects only a small percentage of the items submitted to us. If we decline to buy your item, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the item is bad or has no value — it simply means that it does not meet our current buy-off threshold.

Where appropriate, we may still recommend another way of selling the item through Corido rather than purchasing it directly.

This selective approach allows us to maintain quality, manage our inventory responsibly and ensure that the items we purchase have a realistic chance of finding their next owner.

You bought it for 80,000. You’re asking 55,000. Feels like a loss already.

But the person scrolling isn’t comparing your price to what you paid. They’re comparing it to the four other listings open in their other tabs — and one of them is asking 38,000 for the same thing, same condition, better photos.

That’s the part sellers miss. You’re not pricing against your memory of the purchase. You’re pricing against everyone else selling the same item this week.

So it sits. One month. Three months. Now it’s older, the market has moved, and you’re still holding out for a number that stopped being real a long time ago.

Price it for the buyer’s options, not for your receipt.

Round nesting coffee table. Gold frame, black tops.

The three small ones sit underneath. Pull them out when you have people over, push them back when you don’t.
