4) Ban and eliminate plastic bag

Our Vision:
To ban and eliminate plastic bag usage in Cambodia. It takes plastic bags at least 50 years to degrade, and since we keep producing them, the amount being thrown away outwe

igh the amount being decomposed. Solution:
A phone application focused mainly on reducing the use of plastic bags when shopping. Our app encourages people to bring their own cloth bags when they go shopping, in order to receive a qr code which allows them to save points and buy on special discount. We encourage people to buy food before expiration date so it won’t end up in landfill and become food waste. These points can later be exchanged as rewards, such as phone top ups, coupons, etc. When people are being rewarded they feel good and, they will continue to use the app.
