Su***de is a real issue in Korea, especially among teens. Come to GICF and help us support the Busan Lifeline, a charity organization focusing on su***de prevention. And if you're struggling -- ASK FOR HELP. There's truly no shame in that.
Today is World Su***de Prevention Day.
Six men take their own lives in Australia every day and men are three times more likely to die by su***de than women.
For every famous face who loses their life to su***de, there are thousands, not so famous who take their own lives. These people aren’t always mentioned in the press but if they were it would be impossible to ignore the scale of this issue.
We need to talk more, connect more, work that emotional muscle and sit in those uncomfortable conversations, we need to be able to sit with our mates, be present and listen, whether they're at the highest of highs or the lowest of lows.
We can all help prevent su***de. Reach out to a mate, work on that connection, check-in regularly - so if they are ever up against it they know you’re there for them.
If you feel like you need immediate help call Lifeline 13 11 14 or Mensline 1300 78 99 78 24/7
Tomorrow Man articulated this so beautifully, this post is shared from theirs.
