Our hamper contains a variety of traditional sweets and treats, including:
• Kokis: Crispy, deep-fried cookies made from rice flour and coconut milk.
• Konda Kavum: Sweet, deep-fried dumplings made from rice flour, jaggery, and coconut.
• Mun kavum: Soft, sticky dumplings made from treacle, rice flour, and coconut.
• Kalu Dodol: A rich, dark-colored sweet made from rice flour, jaggery, and coconut milk. The ingredients are cooked together until the mixture thickens and solidifies, resulting in a chewy texture and a caramel-like flavor.
• Milk Toffee: A creamy, chewy candy made from condensed milk, sugar, and butter. The ingredients are cooked together until the mixture thickens and caramelizes, then cooled and cut into small squares.
• Butter Cake: A rich, buttery cake made from flour, sugar, butter, and eggs. The ingredients are mixed together and baked until golden brown, resulting in a soft, fluffy cake with a moist texture and a buttery flavor.
• Achchcaru: It consists of peppers, shallots, semi ripe papaya, and carrots and the rest differ from family to family/region to region. All the semi-boiled veggies are tossed with creamy, tangy mustard sauce.
• Kithul Pani: made of the sap collected from the flower of the fishtail palm or jaggery palm (Caryota urens). It's a sweet and thick honey-colored liquid.
