Painted, Glazed, Done!!! I just have to make one more to get a set of 6 plates. I can’t decide what the 6th fruit should be.
These plates have been made in stages but two of them have been in use almost daily and they have been in ovens, microwaves and dishwashers and they are still perfect. A bit of a labour of love but immensely therapeutic - a big thank you to my friend Sharon Jervis who gave me the confidence to draw ❤️

I do love painting pomegranates!! I am thinking of doing a full breakfast set.

Some places stay with you long after you’ve left. Jaffna is one of them.

From the striking red-and-white temple walls and majestic palmyrah palms to the colourful fishing boats, painted eyes watching over the sea, and miles of beautiful coastline, every corner of Jaffna inspired me.

I wanted to capture those memories in clay. This little collection is my way of celebrating it — each hand-painted espresso cup reflecting a small piece of Jaffna’s unique beauty, culture and character.

I think my fat lady plate is beyond redemption - oh well !!! Back to the drawing board 😢
