The Timee Electric Company was founded in 1977, by Mr Thilak Meepegama. An inspiring young entrepreneur, he established his electrical wholesale and retail outlet with the meager capital of Twenty Thousand Rupees, on the top floor of the Nugegoda Super Market. Thilak’s full name; the first two letters “Ti” from Thilak and the last three letters “Mee” from Meepegama. When initially opening the shop

in 1977, he had only one employee working under him, who to this day still remains a loyal employee, working alongside many others that have joined the company over the years, helping make “Timee” a household name throughout the country. With over 7,500 line items, you will find any Electrical Accessory you need at our store including lighting fittings, cabling, switchgear, and many more!
