Bahumaniya is an attractive chain-like flower that is widely used to decorate Sri Lankan gardens. It is a specialty here that clusters of yellow and orange-red flowers can be seen at the same time.

Bahumaniya Plant Description (Bahumaniya Plant Description) Botanical name: Phanera kockiana (formerly known as Bauhinia kockiana). Nature of the plant: Woody climber. It is very suitable to grow like a canopy on the fences of gardens or with the help of nets (Mesh). Flowering: Very beautiful flower clusters are produced. When flowering, the flowers are yellow at first, then turn dark orange and red. Foliage: Bahumania leaves are bifurcated (cow-hoof shaped).
