Nuweraeliya
It is hard to imagine that nuweraeliya is only 180km from the hot and humid colombo which is blessed with greenery located in the hill country of the central province of srilanka and has been recognized as an important location for tea production in the country .even thought the town was discovered in the 19th century bybthe british ,the whole district is today visited by travelers from all over the world .the season of flowers ,pony races,go cart races and auto rally are started in April .nuweraeliya offers many activities to tourist including visits to tea plantations ,golfing ,horseriding,boating ,hiking ,and even exploring the beauty of the landscaped garden waterfalls and plateaus .excellent walks and drives,exceptionally good golf on the hole course ,one of the best in asia are found with trout hatchery ,market ,gardens of flowers ,fruits and vegetables not commonly associated with srilanka. # nuweraeliya , , , # srilanka ,

Pigeon Island (පරවි දූපත )
A short boat - ride off the beach and you may visit pigeon island which lies 2 km off the coast of nilaveli ,great for driving ,snorkelling and sea bathing .you may also visit the recently reopened marine park which was closed for nearly two decades .visitors could enjoy the rare corals and marine animals and of course during the tour observe endemic and migrant bird species .the national park extend over 450 hectares and the wildlife authorities are planning to increase the facilities to visitors in the near future . , , , , , ,

Adam's peak(ශ්‍රී පාද)
Ratnapura is situated at the foot of the 2243 metre high adam's peak. All four major religions claim adam's peak as a holy mountain .Buddist call the mountain sri pada (the sacred footprint ) and believe the load buddha has visited this mountain and set his sacred footprint . Hindus say it is lord shiv's and muslim believe that it is the place where adam fist set foot on earth .catholics say it is of st. Thoma's the christian apostle who preached in south india .the pilgrimage season is from december to april .looking down from the mountain summit the panoramic view of the mist covered hill tops and the forest covered low lying valleys unfold as far as the eye can see .the sunrise from the top of sri pada is an unforgettable sight and the journey an exhilarating experience .

BAMBARA KANDA FALLS
This fall,due to it's sheer drop of 241m,is the highest in the whole of srilanka. Peacock Hill (මොනරකන්ද )
Peacock hill is a mountain which is situated near the pussellawa town in the central highlands of srilanka .it stands at a height of approximately 1518m and provideds an amazing view of the surrounding mountains and valleys .
