Where earth meets water.😍

There is something endlessly fascinating about the place where land and water meet — where warm earthy tones dissolve into blue, reflections change with the light, and the landscape never looks exactly the same twice.

In Tides of Earth and Blue, I wanted to capture that feeling rather than a particular place. Layers of soft blue, ivory, deep charcoal and warm ochre create an abstract landscape somewhere between memory and imagination.

A little reminder of open water, changing skies and distant shores — brought into the interior. 🌊

What if you could bring a little piece of the sea home? 🌊

Not the literal sea — but the feeling of it.

That sense of space when you look toward the horizon. The changing blue of the water. Sunlight breaking through the clouds. The quiet moment when everything seems to slow down.

This is what I try to capture in my coastal abstract paintings — not a particular place, but the feeling of being near water.

Because sometimes a painting can become more than something on the wall.
It can become a window to a place you want to return to.

Sometimes a painting isn't about a place.

It's about a feeling you recognize without knowing why.

A stretch of water, a distant shoreline, light reflecting on the surface — and suddenly a memory appears. Not a specific memory, just a familiar sense of calm.

I think that's why we're often drawn to certain artworks. They don't tell us what to see. They remind us of something we've already felt.

The colors we return to say something about us.

I often notice that people are drawn to the same palette again and again. Soft blues, earthy browns, quiet whites... not because they're trendy, but because they create a feeling we want to live with.

For me, these colors are about stillness. About the horizon after the wind settles. About light reflected on water before the day fully begins.

Maybe that's why abstract art doesn't always need to tell a story. Sometimes it simply creates a place where your mind can slow down.

“I did a lot of research, and when I found it, it was obvious and easy to choose.”

This is one of those messages that means a lot to an artist.

"Tides of Pale Morning" has just found its new home, and after the purchase, its new collector wrote to me:

"The diptych is really deep and beautiful. I made a lot of research, and when I found it, it was obvious and easy to choose.”

There are thousands of artworks to discover online, so knowing that someone spent time searching, comparing and looking — and then felt an immediate certainty when they found my work — is incredibly rewarding.

I created this diptych as two connected moments of the same changing landscape: pale morning light, distant water, reflections, mist and the subtle movement of the sea.

And somewhere far from my studio, someone saw something in these two paintings that made them stop searching.

I think that's one of the most beautiful things that can happen to a painting.

When structure meets something unexpected.🤎🤎🤎

Botanical Interruption was born from a contrast I keep returning to in my work — the meeting of architectural order and organic movement.

Strong vertical and horizontal forms create the structure, while the abstract botanical element seems to interrupt it — growing through the composition, breaking its order and bringing something spontaneous and alive into the space.

Layers of warm beige, taupe, mocha brown, smoky grey, ivory and deep charcoal are built with palette knives, brushes, scraping, glazing and expressive marks. Up close, the surface reveals an entirely different world of texture and detail.

I love how a painting can feel structured from a distance, yet become much more complex the closer you come.
