Gadheemee Collection I am dedicated to recreate this lost art by replicating those ancient designs created by our forefathers by using the same hand techniques and tools.

My objective is to reintroduce this almost lost traditional art which is embedded in the history of Maldivian Arts and crafts, by recreating the ancient Lime Stone Carvings made by our ancestors. This art form ceased to exist as Maldivians stopped coral limestone (Hirigaa) mining, due to environmental issues like reef damage and erosion, so I use an alternative material to Coral limestone, artificial stones

Day One. 03hours
- designs history, cultural significance, identifying design rules and concepts of a master cultural design.
- Carving techniques and tools (shapping a stone PCs exercise)

Day two. 03hrs
- Identifying coral species and importance of conservation, cultural applications,
- Experience actual carving on a bit of coral (courses design or go nuts)
