Muchas Gracias to receive another review 🛒🚐❤️
Using this shopping service for our family vacation in the Puerto Vallarta area was the best decision I have made since we started going to Mexico for our family vacations! Being able to have our own food in our place and not having to go out to eat for every meal was really great. Our shopper went to several different places to get us all of the freshest foods and everything was amazing, no complaints whatsoever! They met us at the resort and just made the whole process so easy. We never had to carry one bag of food ourselves. I will definitely be using this service again!

🇲🇽 There Is Something That Happened in Mexico That I’ve Been Hesitant to Write About Until Now.

This one might be controversial. But it’s also one of the experiences that changed the way I look at Mexico. Please let's keep commenting respectful!!!!!

On February 22, I was in Morelia when news started spreading that Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes — “El Mencho,” the leader of the CJNG — had been killed during a military operation in Jalisco.

What followed was serious.
There were roadblocks, burning vehicles and violence reported in different parts of Mexico. I’m not going to pretend those things didn’t happen.
They did.

But I want to tell you what I personally experienced standing in Centro Morelia that day. Because that’s something I’ll never forget. We were downtown when businesses started closing.
There wasn’t screaming.
There wasn’t mass panic.
Store owners simply and calmly began telling us that it was probably time to head home. Shutters started coming down. People started leaving. Then the warning came across our cell phones. And we went home.

I remember watching everything unfold and then seeing the images and headlines being shown outside Mexico.
And as a Canadian actually sitting in Morelia, I kept thinking:
That’s not the whole story I’m seeing here. I’m not saying Mexico didn’t have a dangerous situation that day.
It absolutely did.

I’m saying there was another part of the story that I don’t think people outside Mexico could fully understand from watching the news. The Mexican people themselves. 🇲🇽
Their calmness impressed me.
Their awareness impressed me.
But most of all, their resilience impressed me.

I sat and talked with local people.
I asked questions.
And mostly, I listened.People explained things to me that I didn’t understand.
Things about their country.
Things about Michoacán. Things that someone from Canada simply doesn’t grow up understanding. And I realized something important.

I was experiencing this as a Canadian seeing something extraordinary. Many of the people around me were experiencing it as Mexicans who understood their surroundings far better than I ever could. And then came something I’ll never forget.

The next morning, life started moving again.Doors started going back up.
People went back to work. Coffee was being poured. Families continued with their lives.

Not because nothing had happened.
And certainly not because people didn’t care.Life simply continued.

That affected me more than the frightening images did. Because behind so many headlines about Mexico are millions of ordinary Mexican people who still have children to raise, businesses to open, families to support and lives to live.

I don’t want to romanticize violence.
I don’t want to minimize what happened. And I certainly don’t pretend that a Canadian spending part of his life in Mexico understands something that Mexican people have lived with in ways I haven’t.

Quite the opposite.
That day taught me how much I DON’T understand. And that’s why I listened.

I’ve said many times that one of the reasons I love Mexico is because of its people. February 22 showed me another reason. Resilience. 🇲🇽❤️

I witnessed something that frightened me as a Canadian. And then I watched the people around me calmly deal with it, protect their families, listen to the warnings… and get up the next day and continue living.

I’ll never forget that.

To the Mexican people reading this, I’d really like to hear your perspective.

🇲🇽 What do you wish people outside Mexico understood about moments like this that they don’t see in the headlines?

🇨🇦❤️🇲🇽

⚽ Puerto Vallarta has its own World Cup celebration hub, a white FIFA Dome, officially known as the 🫱 Domósfera Vallarta 🫲.

📍Located next to the Sheraton and across from the Unidad Deportiva Agustín Flores Contreras on Avenida Francisco Medina Ascencio, it serves as the centerpiece of the Vibra Jalisco Zona Fan Puerto Vallarta.

🏟️ Running throughout the entire FIFA World Cup from June 11 to July 19, 2026, this free public fan zone was created so locals and visitors can experience the excitement of the tournament together, right here in Puerto Vallarta.

❄️ One of the biggest attractions is the air-conditioned dome itself, offering an immersive multimedia experience and a welcome escape from the summer heat.

📺 Outside, fans can watch matches on a giant screen with surround sound, bringing the energy of the stadium to the city.

🍴 The venue also features more than 40 food vendors serving local favorites, along with live music, cultural performances, family activities, and entertainment throughout the day.

🕛 The fan zone is open daily from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, with admission completely free. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so arriving early is recommended for the most popular matches.

🌴 Whether you're a lifelong football fan or simply looking for a fun atmosphere, the FIFA Dome has become one of Puerto Vallarta's most talked-about attraction. And it's right across where I live 🏠🤣
