Gone are the days of stressing over perfect, seamless coverage. This summer, the most stylish influencers and celebrities are intentionally showcasing their tan lines as the ultimate fashion accessory.

Here's My Opinion on Why Tan Lines Are Having a Moment:
-They're proof of a life well-lived (beach days, pool parties, rooftop brunches)
- They create natural contouring and dimension
- They add an effortlessly cool, "I just got back from vacation where i dont give a f*ck about anything" aesthetic
-Show authenticity in an over-filtered world

However, the key is to tan lines, is making them look intentional, not accidental.

I'm seeing my Beverly Hills clients request specific tan line placements—bikini lines that complement their favorite strapless dresses, or shoulder lines that enhance off-the-shoulder tops perfectly.

Avoid These Tan Line Don'ts:

Let's debunk this "organic" spray tan myth once and for all! 🧐

I need to serve you some truth with your daily dose of vitamin D(ihydroxyacetone).

The beauty industry loves throwing around the word "organic," but when it comes to spray tans, this term is often more marketing magic than meaningful benefit.

If a says it's organic, it's lying to you.

🔬 The Science Tea:
True "organic" spray tans don't exist in the way you think they do. DHA (the active ingredient that creates your gorgeous glow) is a synthetic compound—and that's actually a GOOD thing.

Synthetic doesn't mean scary or bad; it means consistent, predictable, and thoroughly tested results.

What Actually Matters:
-Natural-based formulas with botanical extracts
-Paraben-free and sulfate-free ingredients
-Added moisturizers like aloe vera and coconut oil
-No harsh chemicals or unnecessary additives
-pH-balanced formulas that work with your skin

Marketing Red Flags to Look out for:
-"100% organic" claims (scientifically impossible for effective tanning)
-"Chemical-free" promises (everything is made of chemicals, honey! Even water!)
-Unrealistic ingredient claims

I know you want to smell as incredible as you look (and honestly, you deserve both), but applying perfume directly to freshly tanned skin is like wearing white jeans to a pasta dinner—risky business.

🚫 Why Perfume + Fresh Tan = Disaster:
The alcohol content in most fragrances can break down your tan's development process, creating uneven patches or fading.

Even worse?

It can cause your color to develop darker in certain spots, giving you that dreaded "leopard print" effect that no amount of contouring can fix.
But I'm not going to leave y'all empty handed!

Here are some AMAZING alternatives to perfume:
✅ Scented body oils (apply to hair ends and clothing, not skin)
✅ Fragrance-free moisturizer with a drop of your favorite essential oil
✅ Light body mist applied to clothing only
✅ Perfume on pulse points that "don't matter" much (i.e. behind ears)

Here's what I tell all my Hollywood clients: wait at least 48 hours after your spray tan before applying any alcohol-based products.

Your skin needs time to fully absorb and lock in that custom color we created together.

Want to smell divine AND look flawless? Try mixing a tiny drop of vanilla or coconut oil into your tan-safe moisturizer. You'll smell like a luxury spa while protecting your tan.

Trust me, I've learned this from years of perfecting red carpet looks—the details matter, and your future self will thank you when you're still glowing a week later instead of patchy and regretful.

Your glow should never be compromised for anything, not even your signature scent! 🌟
