Prepare the biscuits: Break Marie biscuits into small bite-sized pieces. Set aside in a large bowl.

Make the chocolate mixture: In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. Add in the condensed milk, cocoa powder, water, vanilla essence (if using), and salt. Stir until smooth and fully combined.

Mix together: Pour the warm chocolate mixture over the crushed Marie biscuits. Mix well until all biscuits are coated.

Prepare the base: Mix crushed Marie biscuits with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into a lined cake tin or container to form a base. Chill in the fridge for 15โ20 mins.
