Alhamdulillah, truly grateful and honoured to have received 2nd Place 🥈 in the Hanzi Slayer Brush – Basic Category at MECHA MASTER 2026.

This one is especially meaningful to me because this is actually my second competition medal, and I won it with the same model Huron Blackheart.

Earlier this year, I entered Huron Blackheart at MALCOM 2026 Penang, an international competition, where I was fortunate enough to receive a Bronze Medal.

After MALCOM, I received some valuable feedback from the judges, particularly about pushing my highlights further and creating stronger contrast on the model.

So before entering Mecha Master, I went back to Huron Blackheart and made some small touch-ups and improvements, especially to the highlights, while keeping the original work and character of the model intact.

Getting Silver this time feels extra special because it shows me that listening to feedback, going back to the work, and continuing to improve really does make a difference.

A huge thank you to the judges at MALCOM for the advice and encouragement, and to everyone who has supported and given me feedback throughout this journey. 🙏

And of course, a massive thank you to ERIC YAP Gallery for organising MECHA MASTER 2026 and creating such a great platform for hobbyists, modellers and painters to showcase their work and challenge themselves. Also Hanziminis for make new Hanzi Brush Slayer category in MECHA MASTER.

*BATTLE REPORT — RED CORSAIRS VS DARK ANGELS*

Another game at *NM Hobby Nexus!* This time, Radhi's *Chaos Space Marines* faced Kerol's *Dark Angels* in a 1,000-point battle.

*Radhi — CSM: 74 VP*
*Kerol — Dark Angels: 79 VP*

*Round 1:* Radhi's Reave-Captain and Red Corsairs Raiders infiltrated into the mid-right of the board. Kerol struck first with his Intercessors and Hellblasters, but the CSM unit survived and counter-attacked, wiping out the Intercessors.

*Round 2:* The Reave-Captain was eventually taken down by the Hellblasters. Huron moved out through the Rhino with the Masters of the Maelstrom and Legionaries, engaging Kerol's Inceptors.

*Round 3:* Kerol's Brutalis Dreadnought shoot Huron after shooting into his unit. Huron and the squad managed to embark back into the Rhino using *Reaver's Reaction*. Meanwhile, the Chaos Terminators deep struck into the Dark Angels' deployment zone, attacked the Intercessors and secured the enemy home objective.

*Rounds 4–5:* The Brutalis continued hunting Huron and eventually wiped out the entire squad, leaving Huron as the last survivor. Huron fought back and successfully destroyed the Brutalis!

The Dark Angels' Aggressors then moved back towards their home objective and engaged the Terminators. The Terminators survived the fight, but the Dark Angels eventually reclaimed their home objective thanks to their increased Objective Control.

After five hard-fought rounds, the Dark Angels narrowly took the victory:

*DARK ANGELS — 79 VP*
*CHAOS SPACE MARINES — 74 VP*

*Only 5 VP separated the two armies!*
