Athiyana wa Moçambique

Athiyana wa Moçambique Crocheted bags, handmade from capulanas in Mozambique To make these products, they use capulana material, a typical African fabric.

The goal of the project is that these women are able to earn a living by making and selling these unique and trendy products. Half of the profits go towards supporting their family in day-to-day living, and the other half they are encouraged to use to buy new materials for creating their next project. As such, development is put into practice by stimulation productivity and quality amongst the Makua women.
