Today, we celebrate Lieutenant Colonel Musa Umar , popularly known as "Dagger," as he completes 35 years of dedicated service in the Nigerian Army.
Lt Col Musa Umar began his military career as an Other Rank (soldier) before earning a commission as an officer through hard work, discipline, and dedication. His journey is an inspiration to many, proving that commitment and professionalism are always rewarded.
To thousands of soldiers who passed through the Depot Nigerian Army, Zaria, the name "Dagger" is unforgettable. As an instructor, he was known for his strict discipline and tough training, helping to shape many of the professional soldiers serving in the Nigerian Army today.
As he retires after 35 years of honourable service, we thank him for his sacrifices, leadership, and invaluable contributions to the Nigerian Army and our great nation, Nigeria.
Congratulations, Sir. We wish you good health, peace, and a fulfilling retirement.
