đź’–Whispers of Abuja
Chapter 2 – Coffee, Laughter, and Chance Meetings
A week passed. Work had been its usual chaos — endless calls, demanding clients, and a boss who seemed allergic to rest. Teni needed a break, so on Saturday morning, she decided to treat herself to some peace at a small café in Wuse 2 called Brew & Bliss.
Just as she settled into a corner seat, flipping through her phone, she heard that same voice.
“Abuja’s favorite marketer, right?”
She looked up and smiled involuntarily. “Architect Adesina.”
Ayo stood there, holding two cups of coffee. “I thought maybe the universe wanted us to have another chat — this time without traffic.”
Teni laughed. “You sure it’s not just you following me around the city?”
He grinned. “Guilty as charged.”
That morning turned into hours of conversation. They spoke about dreams, faith, how both loved the quiet side of Abuja — the places where you could hear your own heartbeat. For the first time in a long while, Teni felt seen.
As he walked her to her car, he said, “You know, it’s rare to meet someone who feels like sunrise.”
She blushed, pretending not to hear. But deep down, she knew something special had begun.
