BAYELSA WEEKLY PROSPERITY WALK: UFDDS CELEBRATES MEMBER’S APPOINTMENT AS SA ON HAPPINESS

Today’s 5-kilometre Prosperity Walk and morning exercise was filled with excitement as members of the United Front for Douye Diri Successor (UFDDS), led by the Director General, High Chief Timothy Diekivie Itiedu, celebrated the appointment of Mrs. Rose Angalapele, UFDDS Kolga Chapter Woman Leader, as Special Assistant to the Governor of Bayelsa State on Happiness.

Announcing the appointment at the conclusion of the exercise, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, noted that he had consistently observed Mrs. Rose Angalapele as one of the happiest, if not the happiest, participants during the Prosperity Walk.

The appointment, believed to be the first of its kind in Bayelsa State, represents a remarkable recognition of her infectious positivity, dedication and active participation in the Prosperity Walk.

The UFDDS family also celebrated one of its members who emerged as a winner in today’s raffle draw, as well as Bayelsa’s outstanding female drummer, Mrs. Maria Tekeme, who was recognized with an award by the National Council of Women’s Societies (NCWS).

The Director General, High Chief Timothy Diekivie Itiedu, alongside the leadership and entire membership of UFDDS, sincerely appreciates His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, for recognizing, encouraging and rewarding one of our own.

It is a beautiful culture in UFDDS to celebrate our members and make everyone feel valued and appreciated. Each month, members whose birthdays fall within that particular month are celebrated together with a special birthday cake shared among them, while other members join in the celebration.

Beyond the cake and birthday wishes, this tradition represents unity, love, togetherness, and the spirit of family that UFDDS stands for. Every member matters, and every milestone deserves to be celebrated.

Leadership is not just about occupying an office; it is about creating impact, inspiring confidence, and leaving a positive mark on the lives of the people.

Leadership is best measured by its impact on the lives of the people. In Bayelsa State, the administration of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, has continued to pursue projects and policies aimed at improving infrastructure, education, healthcare, human capital development, security, and the overall wellbeing of Bayelsans.

Under his administration, attention has been given to road construction and rehabilitation, improving access to education, strengthening healthcare delivery, supporting youth and women empowerment, promoting sports and human capital development, and expanding infrastructure across different parts of the state.

The administration has also continued to support the development of rural communities, improve connectivity between communities, and create opportunities that can contribute to economic growth and a better standard of living.

These efforts remind us that development is a continuous process. There is still more work to be done, but the progress recorded deserves recognition and encouragement.

As members and supporters of UFDDS, we proudly stand in support of His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, the Executive Governor of Bayelsa State.

We recognize the importance of continuity, stability, unity, and purposeful leadership in building a stronger Bayelsa. Our support is rooted in our belief that the progress of our state must remain a collective responsibility.
