Blending begins with slowly saying two or more sounds together to form a word.

It begins with recognition of sounds and then using the sounds known to form a word.

This process must be taken slowly without a rush. This skill must be built through repeated practice. When this is done right, your child will read. Yes, your child can read.

As children master blending skill, the flow of how sounds are put together to form words becomes important.

This flow must be achieved for words pronounced to make more sense.

Consonant blends are important to teach kids to achieve this flow.

In this case, two (bl) or more(str) consonants must be said together and each sound must be heard during Pronunciation.

Doing this makes Pronunciation clear, understandable and enhance confidence.
