Something struck me yesterday morning and I was ruminating about it but it doesn't make any sense to me.
There is this particular prayer, people say to pregnant women and it goes thus, "Eni kan o ki ngbebi ewure, enikan o ki ngbebi aguntan, won o ni fi obe yo omo jade ninu e."
The prayer above literally means, you would give birth like a Hebrew woman. You won't go under the knife, to birth your baby.
Now, this is my area of concern, is this truly a prayer? I am not saying prayer doesn't work!
I remembered, people said this prayer when I was pregnant and funnily, the same people advised me, to go for CS.
Even in my second pregnancy, I heard a lot of won o ni fi obe gbebi e. But, I gave birth through CS.
As it is now, I am not a Hebrew woman because I gave birth through CS 😂 😂 😂
I imagined the number of maternal and infant death, that would have occurred, if we all rely on this prayer.
Even, if we all rely on this prayer, God's will would prevail.
If you are pregnant, as you have plan A, have plan B as well. There is no medal for anybody that gives birth to their baby through CS or the natural way.
