On the 26th of May after cleansing and deep conditioning my hair, I sat in front of a mirror and braided it. It's customary for me to make my hair (twists, cornrows or braids) from one to three weeks simply because, it's the best way I manage shrinkage and keep my hands out of my hair.
I was hoping to keep it in for a full month before taking it out but, this morning, a week shy from the 26th of June I loosened it.
I remoisturized my hair after a couple of days using plain water, the leave-in and curling cream from and Goya extra virgin olive oil.
After two weeks, I used "purify me" from flaxseed collection to cleanse my hair. It's a really gentle co-wash, so if you're on the lookout for a co-wash, you can try this or "Coco wash" from the coconut crème recipes.
I really thought I'd beat my third week mark, I've never kept a style for a month before but, I failed😄. I took my ride-or-die detangler, "knot on my watch" from and took one plait out after another. I loosened three to four plaits at a time, detangled, then twisted it before moving on. I didn't need to spritz my hair or use any oils, just one product(=one step) and it was more than enough. Talk about efficiency!
My hair is going to stay this way till I get around to give it a proper wash.
