PLEASE READ............⚪️

DO thoroughly clean and sterilize all the parts of your breast pump that come into contact with milk, following the instructions on the picture.
Do this before you use it for the first time and after every use.

Each time you use your breast pump, check all parts of the pump and power unit for any damage.

Wash your hands with soap and water and dry thoroughly before handling your breast pump.

Make sure that all parts of the pump have been washed, cleaned and sterilized, and are completely dry.

DO NOT wash these parts:

All silicone Air tube – silicone tube and tube with connectors at each end that attach your breast pump to the power unit.

Diaphragm protective cover

Power unit – small, portable motor that powers the massage and suction features of your breast pump.

When you’ve finished using the pump, disassemble all the parts then clean and sterilize as outlined in the cleaning instructions.

Know the parts to clean/wash, not to wash and parts to sterilize.

Expressing breastmilk is handy if your breasts are engorged or you’d like to have some breastmilk stored in the fridge or freezer for using later.

Some women find it easy to express, and other women find it more difficult. It can sometimes take a while to learn how to express.

Different women can express different amounts of breastmilk. It depends on many things, including your body, your baby’s last feed, your baby’s age and how often you express.

Most mums find expressing breastmilk easier if they’re in a comfortable, private place. Get yourself relaxed and comfortable, and have a glass of water handy to drink. Give yourself plenty of time too – especially when you’re first learning to express.

Store expressed breastmilk in special storage bags or clean, closed containers.
It’s best to refrigerate or freeze after expressing.
If you can’t express much (or any) milk, check with your family health consultant or a lactation consultant to make sure you’re expressing correctly.
