2027: Prepare Your Will If You Plan to Write Election Results in Abia — Governor Alex Otti Cautions

The Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, has advised those boasting that they will “write election results” in the 2027 Governorship Election to first write their wills and hand them over to their families before embarking on such a dangerous mission.

The Governor clarified that his statement was not a threat but a word of caution, explaining that intelligence reports suggest that some displaced politicians are already boasting how they will manipulate the 2027 elections.

Dismissing a recent statement credited to the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, Governor Otti emphasized that power ultimately belongs to God.

“I do not have the Anointing To Speak about what will happen in 2027 in 2025. So if someone can stand up and say this is what will happen in 2027, who am I to question him? But I know that Power belongs to God and he gives it to whom he wants. We are all Christians and advised not to speak when the Lord has not spoken.”

Governor Otti advised the Deputy Speaker to concentrate on his responsibilities at the National Assembly.

“I think he should focus on the Jobs he has been given. I heard he wants to run for Governorship in 2027 — that’s fine and nobody should stop him, but we should respect the law. When you gather people and you are telling them that you are going to take over in 2027, you are campaigning.”

He further revealed that his relationship with the Deputy Speaker predates politics and expressed no animosity toward him.

“My relationship with the Deputy Speaker didn’t start with politics. You will find out that this is the second time he has come out publicly to berate my administration and myself, and I think I want to forgive him. Do I feel threatened? Absolutely no.
I feel he was terrified with the kind of organic show of love by Aba and Umuahia people.

PRESIDENT TINUBU'S TRIBUTE TO THE LATE EVANGELIST DR UMA UKPAI

With a heavy heart, I mourn the passing of one of God's generals, Dr Uma Ukpai. Reverend Ukpai was not just another preacher; he was an anointed crusader of the faith, filled with fire and ice for the gospel and restoring humanity to discipline, love, and good neighbourliness.

Dr Ukpai, who died at age 80, was an international evangelist, leader of the Uma Ukpai Evangelistic Association, and founder of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN).

Born in the small town of Asaga, Ohafia, in Abia State, Evangelist Ukpai went through his paces, enduring challenges while passing through school. But God had his purpose well defined. He obeyed the divine call and impacted generations with his ministry.

He was one of the leaders in the Lord's army who brought the fervour of revival sweeping across Nigeria and parts of Africa in the 1980s. He was a firebrand.

I recall his Greater Ibadan for Christ crusade in 1982 and the Greater Lagos for Christ crusade in 1985, two phenomenal events in proportion and impact.

Dr Ukpai's mission was clearly to unite the Christian fold and different faiths and spread peace and harmony. He was a builder, building men and bridges linking different faiths, people, tongues, and tribes.

He was also a humanitarian as he set up many charities, schools, and hospitals for the underprivileged.

Dr Ukpai has fulfilled his divine mission and has gone to be with the Lord. He fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith.

I pray that God Almighty grant him eternal rest.

I commiserate with his family, especially his wife, Pastor Philomena Uma Ukpai, and his children, as well as members of his ministry. I encourage them to find solace in the great legacy of this beloved servant of God.

My father’s nwa boy stole his 50 million Naira and ran away. This was the same boy my father trusted with his life.

His name was Emmanuel, and my father loved him like a son.

He often calls him Emma Bobo, or Emma Nwa m.

My father was into building materials business. Anyone who knows that business knows the kind of money that flows through it. And Emmanuel? He was the perfect man for the job. Trustworthy. Responsible.

Someone who could go deposit over 20 to 30 million in the bank and not a kobo would go missing. He was the boy who gave my father some ideas that could have grown the business even further. Everyone believed in him. Everyone—except when betrayal came knocking.

I could remember vividly well that day, we made a lot of sales in the shop, and as usual, my father handed him over 50 million to go deposit in the bank, that was how my father's Emma Bobo ran away with the money.

My Father's world shook. No one knew where Emma was. People in the market told my father to go through diabolical ways and make Emma come back so that he would get his money and get him arrested, but my father didn’t care about the money.

He only wanted to know one thing: was Emmanuel safe? Was he alive? Had he fallen into the hands of people who would harm him? Or into one chance? That’s all my father could think about.

If I tell you his good heart didn't irritate me, I will be lying to you.

The search to know if Emma was fine continued.

Moreover, two weeks later, an international number called my father. When he picked up, it was Emmanuel.

My father heart raced with joy to hear his voice

“Emma Bobo, are you fine? Are you okay?” my father asked.

I couldn’t believe it. This was the same Emma who stole 50 million, and all my father wanted to know was if he was fine. I was furious. How could someone be so forgiving?
