Today, we held the onboarding session for the first cohort of our FREE Virtual Assistant Training Program at ONEFAM TECH and it was a genuinely meaningful milestone.
32 people expressed interest. 11 showed up, and honestly, that number taught us something important before the training even began.
Free opportunities remove the financial barrier, but they never remove the real cost: time, discipline, and intentionality. The people who show up to a free program are often the same people who will show up for their clients, their commitments, and their own growth.
What many people may not know is that I was trained in Virtual Assistance at no cost with a specific expectation attached that I would, in turn, train and empower others.
Today marked the beginning of fulfilling that responsibility, and there is something deeply satisfying about passing on knowledge to people who are genuinely ready to receive it.
The session was engaging, honest, and energizing. Over the coming weeks, this cohort will be building skills in professional communication, productivity tools, project management, client readiness, and practical strategies for thriving in the remote work economy. Not just theory, but the kind of applied, career-ready knowledge that creates real opportunities.
To the 11 persons who chose to show up: you made a decision today that others did not. That decision will compound.
Impact is not always measured in numbers. Sometimes it lives in a single conversation that shifts someone's trajectory.
This is only the beginning, and I am honoured to be part of it.
