Twice this week, two alleged thieves have stood their ground against the assailants who attempted bringing jungle justice to them.
The first one happened when the thief in pretense of wanting to reveal what he stole took the crowd unawares by bringing out a cutlass instead.
The crowd took to their heels ofcourse, even the camera man could not complete his video.
The second one happened in Lagos state where the alleged thief could be seen standing with a cutlass and a stick, looking straight at the crowd of jungle justice perpetrators who could not come close to him because of his weapons.
On X recently, one user boldly stated that it is a shame for a young man to allow himself to be beaten up by his fellow men in the name of jungle justice.
Jungle justice is highly not recommended because of the dangers it poses to society and even innocent members 0f the populace.
What happens when someone is wrongly accused of stealing something and beaten to pulp or even killed before the truth is unveiled?
What happens when you approach a theif in the bid to beat him up and he overpowers you and injures you.
Let us behave like responsible citizens and turn in suspecting criminals to the responsible law enforcement agencies rather than take laws into our hands.
