THE STRATEGY OF THE OPPRESSOR IS THE MAINTENANCE OF IGNORANCE.

In my study of the world systems of oppression whether being slavery, apartheid, colonisation etc, one thing stands out, THE CONTROL OF KNOWLEDGE.

The oppressors understand the power of ignorance in keeping people in oppression.

I was reading the biography of Frederick Douglass and he said, as a slave, it was AGAINST THE LAW TO TEACH A SLAVE TO READ.

That's serious.

Because the moment you he can read, he's forever free.

In the words of Fredrick Douglas, "Knowledge makes a man unfit to be a slave".

This is so true.

The strategy of the oppressors is the maintenance of ignorance, that is to say, whoever shows you truth actually want to make you free.

Jesus said, "You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free".

YOU SHALL KNOW... The emphasis is KNOW.

So, it's not the truth that is AVAILABLE that set you free. NO O

It's the truth you KNOW that sets you free.

The truth can be AVAILABLE but if you don't KNOW it, it won't set you free.

This is why I'm passionate about encouraging reading, actively pursuing knowledge.

In everything you do, seek quality knowledge.

In business, seek knowledge.

In relationship, seek knowledge.

In finance, seek knowledge.

In health, seek knowledge.

In leadership, seek knowledge.

In marriage, seek knowledge.

In sales, seek knowledge.

In every field and area of interest, SEEK KNOWLEDGE.

Knowledge makes the journey easier.

Knowledge give you an edge.

Knowledge shows the way.

Knowledge is like a map.

Knowledge eliminate unnecessary struggle.

Knowledge gives precision.

Knowledge gives confidence.

Knowledge guarantee predictable results.

Knowledge births assurance.

Knowledge shows you what to do.

Knowledge shows you how to do it.

Knowledge shows possible outcomes.

Don't hope in Ignorance, seek knowledge.

And the oldest means of transference of knowledge is READING.

Your ability to read can open any door you choose to go through.

READ.

You'll be better off.

Put down your phone and read.

One good book can change the trajectory of your life and set it on a worthy course.

You can start today.

Oppression is a choice.

Freedom is a choice.

Knowledge controls it all.

IF NOT YOU, THEN WHO?

The difference between those who rise to the top and those who remain at the bottom is really a function of talent but mentality - HOW MUCH THEY THINK THEY ARE WORTH.

It's not talent but how much they value themselves at.

It's not just opportunities but what they believe is ENOUGH for them.

It's not skill but how much they believe they should and can earn.

It's not background but how important they think they are to the world.

WHAT DO YOU BELIEVE YOU'RE WORTH?

Do you believe you are worth that comfortable life?

Do you believe you're worth that great marriage?

Do you believe you're worth that big pay?

Do you believe you're worth that good spouse?

Do you believe you're worth being the founder of something big, something global?

Do you believe you can build something global?

Do you believe you can impact millions?

It's the belief that controls everything.

IF NOT YOU, THEN WHO?.

As a personal and leadership development coach, I have seen this happen again and again.

People believing they are not DESERVING of certain realities. They shrink from the opportunities, the platform, the work.

Most of what is called laziness and inaction are simply fear that comes from believing you don't deserve something, hence the hesitation.

You hold back because you think it's not for you not because you're incompetent or lazy.

They're not better than you, they just believe they are worth it and deserving of it.

Give yourself the permission to worth it.

Give yourself the permission to be worth that lifestyle.

Give yourself the permission to be worth that reality.

Give yourself the permission to be worth being in that room.

You belong there.

It's not where you come from that define where you belong but what you believe is what defines where you belong.

Believe different and be different.
