The new NYSC uniform 😭😭😭
When I said I'm so pi**ed with this new development of changing the Nigerian corps uniform from the lovely Kaki that we know have existed for decades to this Adire😂
Honestly, I thought I was the only one that it didn't sit well with until I made a post about it and saw many people's opinion. Chai
Nigeria is a multicultural nation, and every ethnic group deserves to feel represented in national policies and symbols.
Many Nigerians are asking why Adire, a fabric deeply rooted in Yoruba culture, should become the official NYSC attire for everyone. They believe the NYSC was created to promote unity, not to elevate one culture above others.
Some argue that if a cultural outfit is to be introduced, every region should have equal representation, or each state or region should be allowed to showcase its own traditional attire.
To them, true national unity is about celebrating Nigeria's diversity, not making one culture the face of the entire nation.
Others even joked that if rain catches you wearing the new Adire, you might end up changing colours. 😂
At the end of the day, Nigerians are simply asking for fairness, inclusiveness, and respect for the country's rich cultural diversity. After all, our strength lies in our many cultures—not just one.
To be frank there are many things that this government needs to channel their energy to other than this!
So like this now, if I'm done with school I will no longer wear that dream Kaki corp uniform that my peer has won😮💨, I will be wearing Adire.😭 How is it even going to look on me omo!! This one tire me sha.
My follow Nigerians, let me know your humble opinion in the comments section
