Throwing it back to one of our poetry workshops in 2024.

Looking at these pictures now, it’s beautiful to see how far we’ve come. Some faces, some stories, some familiar energy— and the same belief that creative people deserve spaces to learn, experiment and grow.

Mutane da yawa suna tambayata cewa; Shin waɗanne litafai ne sukafi tasiri a rayuwa ta.

Maganar gaskiya, na karanta litafai masu tarin yawa, kuma kowane literature yana da amfani, koya yake kuma kowa ya rubuta sa. Sana yana da wahala na karanta wani littafi ban ɗauki wata idea ko behaviour koda guda bace. Na sanya wa rayuwata wata ƙa'ida cewa, duk lokacin da na karanta wani littafi ko Maƙala, to bazan sake karanta wani abu ba har sai na aikata wani aiki dana koya, ko na canja wani abu a rayuwa ta. Wannan yayi matuƙar taimaka mana a rayuwa.

Amma tabbas akwai wasu litafai, waɗanda sun taka muhimmiyar rawa, wajen buɗewar tunani na da kuma ɗabi'a ta.

Na farko, AL-MUQADDIMA, Littafin madubin Rayuwana a Siyasance (Role Model) Wanda shine shugaba kuma uba a ilmul umran kaf (Father of Sociology) Wato Abdurrahman Ibn Khaldun. Tabbas, wannan littafin shine tamkar wani linzami wanda ya sauya rayuwata baki ɗaya (wani lokaci zanyi bayani akan hakan)

Na biyu kuma, THINK AGAIN, Littafin kwararren marubuci Adam Grant. Lallai babu shakka littafin nan ya sauya mun tunani daga yadda nake kallon abubuwa, da kuma neman sanin duk abunda ban da sani a kansa, babban abunda littafin yafi koya mun shine, karɓar kuskure na da kuma alaƙanta kuskuren a kaina ba ga kowa ba.

Abu mafi mamaki, wanda shi yasa nayi wannan rubutun shine, Jiya na kalli shirin “Makarantarmu” wanda Dr. Adamu Tilde yake gabatarwa, yayi fira da Dr. Muhammad Jameel Yusha'u, sai naji ya lissafo waɗannan litafan a farko, lokacin da Dr. Tilde Ya tambayesa akan litafan da sukayi tasiri a rayuwarsa. Abun ya bani mamaki matuƙa.

Idan nace, dukkan wani motsina, ko wata fikira ta (idan ina da ita) to ina kamfatowa ne daga tekun Ibn Khaldun da Adam Grant, banyi ƙarya ba.

At Bookish Salon, we didn't only talk about stories- we created a few of our own.

For our 2 Truths & 1 Lie game, everyone had to reveal three things about themselves– two truths and one very convincing lie.

The challenge? Figure out which one wasn't true.

A little competition, plenty of laughter, and a surprisingly effective way to discover things about people you thought you knew.
