The year has already begun and we hope you had a good start!

Looking back 2012 was an exciting and interesting year for OP VOORRAAD.

In 2012 OP VOORRAAD travelled to three places.
We started with the design fair DMY in Berlin, followed by the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven and we complete the year with a Christmas Pop-up at Gallery Klimt in Barcelona. While the latter is well known as the online platform for contemporary jewellery (www.klimt02.net), the others are well-established events in the design world. In all three places the work of OP VOORRAAD has been received enthusiastic. Being on location OP VOORRAAD always delivers great acquaintanceships. We meet nice people,
excited and interested about what they see. Showing OP VOORRAAD to a Design public means to introduce contemporary jewellery to a new audience.
This is more complex then it sounds.
In 2009 we started the Pop-up presentation in a hard ware shop coat as a reaction on the existing sales points of contemporary jewellery and to gain a bigger audience. At
that time it was important to us that the presentation had a low-entry point. Our concept works very well in the context of the jewellery gallery world. Trying to take the project to a next level and new audience, we discovered that the way of
presentation does not communicate in a satisfying way.
After four years of putting energy, trust, effort, patience and love into this project we came to the decision that OP VOORRAAD cannot continue in the known manner.
Unfortunately the input still is not at all in balance with the desired outcome: regarding time, energy and expenses.
The Pop-up activities of OP VOORRAAD in different locations and countries, fairs or other short events will come to an end. Within the jewellery field we got a lot of
positive reactions for our activities of the past years and we appreciate this very much. We realize that a lot of makers feel the need for an additional and new form of presenting jewellery towards the outside world.
However the three of us will take the time to further reflect on what has happened in those past years, what we learned and how we can apply it to the future.
We will keep the OP VOORRAAD website online for another year. Beside the last collection visitors can still find detailed information about the project in general.
