Agenda - JUNE 💙💛
It’s already the last busy agenda of the year! Summer is coming and this Thursday, with the end of the year BBQ the new board will be presented! 👀
Lucky the year isn’t over yet, we still have a lot of cool activities planned! 🔥
To start, this weekend the NSZWK IV will be held in Enschede 🏊‍♀️🤽‍♂️. After this there is some more waterpolo at the Borculo tournament 🤽‍♀️🤽.
Of course there still some studying for the last exam week of this year which you can do at our Badtrand UB.
To finish off this month there will be A LOT of triathlons for our competition teams! 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃💨

UT triathlon Enschede 🏊‍♀️🚴‍♂️🏃
This year WAVE has grown a lot in triathlon, which means we now have 5 teams!! 🤩 Our ladies 1 promoted to first division last year 🏆, besides this we have a new ladies 2 in 2nd decision. Our men’s 1 team is in first decision as well, and we have two more men’s teams in third devision! 💙💛

On the 17th of may the triathlon season finally started with a team time trail! Everyone came good trained and well prepared to te start. 🏁
With good weather nothing could go wrong anymore. Sadly a flat tire by our ladies 1 messed up a part of their race and one of them had to drop out.
Luckily all the teams could finish satisfied with amazing times. 🔥
The results are:
1e Divisie Zuid Women - 4th place
1e Divisie Zuid Men - 7th place
3e Divisie Zuid Men - 4th place
3e Divisie Zuid Men - 22th place

Batavierenrace 🏃🏃‍♀️💨💨
Woooow what a result!! WAVE managed to get 9th place overall at the Batavierenrace 2026! 🔥💪🏻 This is our best result ever!!
At Friday night our race started, the night shift was FLYING. At shift 5, 6 and 7 WAVE was even at the lead! 🥇 They made sure to end the night shift at second place! 🔥💨
The morning shift knew it was going to be hard to keep this position. They did everything they could and ran a lot faster than they thought they could. Because of this they made sure to end the morning shift at 7th position! 💪🏻💪🏻
The afternoon shift kept our position steady, at shift 18 we were even back at 6th place! The last few shift did everything they could and made sure WAVE finished at ninth place!! We’re so proud since this is our best Batavierenrace ever! 🔥🔥
The night ended with the big party and a bit of sleep at the camping ⛺️.
We will definitely be back next year to fight again!!

WAVE weekend 2026!! 💙💛
A few weeks ago a group WAVE’rs went to Eindhoven for a weekend organised by the Axie.
The weekend was filled with playing games 🎲♣️, chilling, partying, some interesting routes back 🌳🐘, more chilling by the lake, a bit of swimming, a really long game of flunky ball 🏐 and to finish off a Saturday night pub quiz!

NSZK III - Delft 🧡🧡🧡
On the 22th and 23th of April, we’ve held the biggest WAVE event of the year: the national student swimming competition in Delft.
The theme was ‘code oranje’ 🧡🧡, revealed in a very good video (if you haven’t seen it, make sure you do!!).
The weekend started with the pre-party in our very own Badtrand. On Saturday we headed with more than 80 WAVE’rs to Rotterdam to compete against the other student associations 🏊‍♀️. The results were a first place at the gents relay, 4th place overall and eight new club records! 💪🥇🔥
After the competition it was time for the after-party at Proteus. With of course a lot of orange food, drinks and outfits 🙂‍↕️🧡.
You might think the weekend couldn’t ever top the theme reveal video, but it somehow did! Thanks to the NSZKCie and all the other volunteers for making this weekend possible! 🤩🧡🇳🇱

This weekend we will start the month May with the WAVE weekend! 💙💛 It’s just the beginning and there are so much more activities to come!!

It’s the month you can show off all your hard work 💪. Whether you’re going to run at the Batavierenrace 🏃or play at Goffert 🤽, we will be there to see it!

To finish May we will stay in Delft for our own Swimrun 🏃🏊‍♀️ and Clubchampionships 🥇.
We’re really looking forward to it! 🤩
