We’re so excited to release another Ethiopian coffee from the one and only “King of Guji” — Ture Waji! 🇪🇹

Same variety, completely different processing, and a whole new experience in your morning cup.

This lot underwent an initial fermentation in plastic barrels for 48 hours before being dried on raised beds, just like a traditional natural, for 15–20 days.

Expect vibrant notes of blueberry, orange, and pink Fruittella, with a juicy, fruit-forward mouthfeel. 🍊🫐

Another beautiful expression of Guji, showcasing just how much processing can transform the character of the same variety ✨

Meet the Team: Yorick! ☕️

He has been part of the Manhattan Coffee Roasters family almost since the very beginning, so you can imagine how happy we were when he decided to return to the team this year. ❤️

A couple of years ago, Yorick took a brave step and decided to change his profession and explore a completely different field. After gaining new knowledge, experience, and a fresh perspective, he made his way back to us.

And we couldn’t be happier to have him back! 🙌

Yorick brings new skills, ideas, and experiences to the team — and we’re sure they will help make Manhattan Coffee Roasters even better.

10:00 – 12:00 | Latte Art Masterclass
Join us for a 2-hour hands-on training designed for beginners. Learn the fundamentals of steaming and texturing milk, then put your skills to the test as you create your own latte art designs.

With only 4 places available, this session is perfect for those who want plenty of personal guidance.

13:00 – 15:00 | Open Public Cupping
In the afternoon, join us for an open cupping and explore a selection of coffees through guided tasting. Discover different flavours, origins, and processing styles alongside fellow coffee enthusiasts.

For the past four years, we’ve had the privilege of working closely with Pepe and Jose Jijón — father and son, and two generations of coffee producers driven by curiosity, innovation, and an unwavering pursuit of quality.

The Jijón family is constantly exploring new varieties and refining processing techniques, always pushing the boundaries of what Ecuadorian coffee can offer. Their dedication has made them one of the country’s leading names in specialty coffee, and every harvest continues to impress us with its consistency, clarity, and character.

We currently have three coffees from Pepe and Jose on our list, with more to come soon! 🇪🇨
