Is this normal?
Every year, before we go on holiday we make a giant mess, do all kinds of chores, clean everything, do a bunch of garden work, tudy up, organize some cabinets and do a bunch of laundry….and end up needing a holiday just to recover.
Do you do this?

It’s almost holiday time for us.
Slowly closing down shop for our three week summer holiday. We’ll be going to Italy this year (again). What’s your destination?
Here’s a sneak preview of the upcoming Sunday Challenge. Not that hard this time. Just a fun pretty build. Will you join this Sunday?

A while ago gifted us some of their beautiful wooden toys to play with. And so we did. Here’s another giant tower made with Grimm’s, Kapla and Chill Pepper wooden toys. All made in Europe with sustainable materials. Honest high quality wooden toys. Scroll through our timeline to find more of these gems.

A simple shape, endless patterns.
We’re still baffled by the countless possibilities of such a simple shape. New ways of play emerge out of nowhere every time you pick up these wooden ‘blocks’. Their geometry allows all kinds of play, pattern making, mandalas and pretend play too.

Sunday Challenge time.
Designed by (Poppy).
Don’t be fooled: looks simple, but it’s a tricky one.

Sunday Challenges are intended for inspiration. Play around with the concept freely. Our open ended toys offer so many ways to play with them. You can use our challenges as a literal guide, but you also take the ‘construction’ elements and build something completely different out of our wooden toys. Have fun!
Need more fun: check our website (direct link in bio) or the highlights for way more challenges. Lost count a bit, but we’re well over 30 different challenges already.

Good morning.
Have a nice weekend!
Do you have nice plans?

16/07/2026

This is not a Sunday Challenge (too many pieces), but it’s surely a pretty one! If you have a set of Sweets and a set of Treats (or multiple sets of Sweets you can recreate it (you need at least 28). Have fun stacking!

The beauty of minimalism lies in taking away the clutter. Removing the unnecessary to leave room for exploration and creativity. Take away too much and nothing remains. Take away too little and too much remains to be versatile. That’s the core design principle behind our Sweets. Shaved down to a simple but versatile shape, what remains is a true open ended toy that can be anything you want it to be.

Stuff me in a bag, I don’t mind.
As long as you take me with you.
And when you open your bag I’ll be ready for any adventure. Whether it’s a visit to the grandparents, a trip to the local (skate) park, a longer holiday or whatever creative you come up with: I’ll be ready!
So what will our first adventure look like?

Chunkies wooden toy cars are built different.
With their real skate bearings, big wooden wheels, solid wooden body and stainless steel hardware; they are ready for any adventure. These are fully made in Germany for sustainable wood and are hand finished and assembled in The Netherlands for that heirloom quality.
Get a bump, ding or scratch? You’ve earned it by playing hard. But if you don’t like the look of it: just sand it a bit and it will look brand new again.

And you don’t even need to play with them all the time. Just look at them: they look great on any shelf and in any interior.

Sunny greetings from Germany this time.
We’ve had a hot day packed with rollercoaster rides.
If you want a little taste: check out our last reel (pinned on our wall). Now it’s time for ice cream and the ride home. We hope you had a lovely weekend!
