Klimaatkoor is a Netherlands-based network of musical activists from different places and backgrounds. We believe in the power of music to effect social and environmental change. Our mission is to make a creative contribution within the climate movement, by singing for change and by amplifying the messages of protests. More specifically, by organizing and participating in various actions and event
s we aim to:
• engage and mobilise citizens to act on climate change
• serve as a creative outlet for individuals and initiatives to make their voice heard (whether already involved in the movement or not)
• condemn practices and policies that contribute to climate change, as well as efforts to obstruct the energy transition
• support and encourage positive climate action (and political decisions)
• enrich the movement with a creative and fun approach for joyful resistance
• spread the spirit of beauty and dignity that our movement stands for
