The hands do the work. Something else has to hold the world still.

Sit down at the bench for the first time and you notice it quickly. Your fingers are steady enough, your loupe is in place, the screwdriver is sharpened. But the movement itself wants to drift, tilt, roll a quarter turn at exactly the wrong moment.
