While Nepal's handicraft sector is inherently low-energy, international markets are shifting toward strict, verifiable sustainability metrics. To stay competitive, "eco-friendly" can no longer just be a narrative—it must be a proven calculation.

On Sunday, July 26, 2026, Story Cycle, Sana Hastakala , and the British Council Nepal are hosting an exclusive stakeholder interaction and exhibition: "Stitching Sustainability: Mapping Nepali Craft’s Carbon Footprint."

We will be launching our localized Carbon Calculation Toolkits and sharing findings from our recent Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs)—proving how supply chain optimization can slash transport emissions by up to 60%, while hand-crafting loops remain at less than 1% of total emissions.

🗓️ Date: Sunday, July 26, 2026
🕐 Time: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Technical Session starts at 2:00 PM)
📍 Venue: Cafe Zero, Sanepa, Kathmandu

We were delighted to welcome the students from Euro School Hattigauda to our production office! They came to learn about the principles of fair trade, how it works, how our handmade products are created, and how fair trade empowers artisans through fair wages, safe working conditions, skill development, and sustainable livelihoods. It was an inspiring and meaningful visit, and we were proud to share our journey and demonstrate the positive impact of ethical craftsmanship with these young learners.
