Vietnamese Mint – Fresh, Fragrant & Full of Flavour!

Vietnamese Mint has aromatic leaves with a fresh, slightly spicy flavour that's fantastic in Vietnamese and Asian-inspired dishes.

🍊🌿 Orange Balm - avaliable now at Pots & Plots!

One of our more unsual herbs, Orange Balm has beautifully scented foliage with a fresh citrusy aroma reminiscent of orange.

It's a member of the mint family and makes a lovely addition to the herb garden, growing into a bushy perennial plant with small flowers that attract pollinators.

Use the leaves fresh in teas, desserts, salads and drinks.

The roadside stall has had a makeover!

We've been busy giving our little roadside stall a refresh with a new clear roof and side panels. It's brighter, better protected from the weather, and ready for another season of locally grown seedlings.

Spring is getting closer, and we can't wait to fill these shelves with herbs, vegetables and flowers.

Keep an eye on this page over the coming weeks as the first seedlings begin to emerge!

Buttercup soup. This one I made using our own buttercup - Simple and delicious 😋

1kg Buttercup
1 brown onion - diced
3 cloves garlic - diced
1 tsp paprika
2 cups stock of choice (I used veggie)
1/2 Cup of cream (or coconut cream)
25g butter.

Chop the buttercup into large chunks and glaze with olive oil, salt and pepper. Place on an oven tray and bake at 180. Once cooked (30min) let cool and the skin will come off easier.
Meanwhile in a larger pan or soup pot, heat some butter and cook onions, garlic and paprika for 5min, add the stock and pumpkin to the mix and cook for 5 more minutes. Remove from heat.
Now use a masher or whiz stick to blend this together until desired constancy. Add the cream and 25g butter and mix well.
Salt and Pepper to taste. Garnish with parsley or thyme
Serve with some toast and enjoy!

If you prefer a thinner soup add more stock 😀
