When you donate and purchase pre-loved clothing and treasures you contribute to vital social services for families and young people in Otago. If you would like to donate goods to the op shops, you can drop them off at our warehouse, 169 Princes St, Dunedin.

Would you pick Lucky Dip⁉️

Many of our Runway Revival 2026 competitors chose a bag of surprise materials to design with, as part of our recent upcycling challenge ✂️♻️👖

OpShopSocial donated the materials, which were destined for landfill and wow, there were some truly creative and wearable creations! It just goes to show that we can prolong an item’s life, if we think about it a bit differently. ♻️💕Which is your favourite look?!

Anything But Clothes⁉️
Did you ever look at curtains or tablecloths and think, I could wear that?!

That’s exactly what we asked Dunedin designers, as part of our Runway Revival 2026 sustainable upcycling competition! We challenged them to create wearable masterpieces crafted from non-clothing items. We were blown away by the imagination. Can you spot the trousers made from an electric blanket?! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

And did you know, we raised nearly $13k that night for Presbyterian Support Otago social services, so a huge thank you to our extremely generous community!! 💕🫶

Last week we hosted a sell-out Runway Revival fashion show, shining a light on reusing & upcycling materials into wearable street fashion, instead of going into landfill ♻️👗🪡

Competitors designed to 3 x themes, one being “What’s Ur Dunedin?” – designs inspired by the spirit, stories, and style of our city. We’re so proud of everyone’s creativity! ✨🔥💫

Because we want to stay true to our Runway Revival ethos of repurposing garments, we chose to make our own “crew” shirts for our event staff ✨❤️

We collected all the black t-shirts we could find in the donations pile, and did the printing ourselves!

By just adding the Presbyterian Support Otago logo and “CREW”, these shirts will be used for many more future events ❤️
