‘One from the PC Wednesday’

I’m not a huge fan of the endless ‘Parallels’ and different variations of cards that seems to be the way these days, but sometimes they do get it right.
This is one of my favourite parallels that Panini ever did. There’s a bit going on here. It’s from the Clarkson PC and is a colour match of his purple Jazz uniform. It’s also part of the Mamba Snakeskin release of cards numbered /24 (there’s also the gold snakeskin variant /8 and black snakeskin /1!)
Two of my idols linked together through one card…

‘One from the PC Wednesday’

I’ve always liked Court Kings, there’s something refreshing about a simple, colourful set amongst the various ‘opti-chrome’ releases put out over the years.

The art-inspired designs and textured card stock, these cards feel more like artwork than traditional sports cards. Some of the older stuff, around 2015-2017 in particular, offer some nice designs and there doesn’t seem to be a heap of it floating around on the market.

Ive no idea where or when I picked this one up from, back in 2017 when I returned to the hobby I was buying anything and everything 😂 so I’d imagine around then, but its a nice card to have in the collection.

‘One from the PC Wednesday’

Tonight we are heading back to the 90s again, but this time with a bit of Rugby League. These acetate cards were quite a nice insert from 1996 Dynamic Rugby League.

As a kid I remember watching a lot of league and Joey Johns was such a magical player to watch, what he lacked in size he made up for with skill and vision . Epic Origin battles against fellow small-man Alfie Langer, those were the days!

Sweet wee insert that I’ve had since way back then, still in relatively good shape. There’s also an Autograph version of these out there too which is say would fetch a nice price.
