The famous, tree-lined stretch of State Highway 5 near Rotorua is called the Fitzgerald Glade (also known as the Tūkorehe Scenic Reserve). Located in the Mamaku Ranges/Tapapa area, it is known as a natural “tree tunnel” and is a popular scenic stop for travellers driving between Rotorua and the Waikato region.

This proverb is a call to pursue excellence and perseverance, encouraging people (insects!) to set high goals and not be defeated by small obstacles.

Watched this little guy climb this magnificent piece of art/drink bottle, it took him a while, then paused at the top to enjoy the view, then back down the other side. 🐜🪲🐞
