This year Anglers Escape build was a retro themed jig rod.
5’6” | PE 3–5 | 250–400g
Built on a CTS blank featuring VeroCore™ Carbon Helix construction. Ultra slim profile but outstanding strength & sensitivity. A moderate taper provides a deeper, more progressive load, while the slightly stiffer tip ensures sharp, responsive jig action.
Finished with Alps guides and a Fuji PLS reel seat. Brought together with custom themed wraps and decals.
This was a unique build that is fit for purpose. Auctioned off at Anglers Escape, all proceeds went to Gumboot Friday.

This recent build was a birthday present for the lovely Julie. Her husband and kids added some special messages to make truly hers.
Built on a 46T carbon blank the 2 piece overhead rod features acid wrap guide configuration with Alps guides, Alps reel seat and gimbal.
Custom shaped EVA to suit smaller hands and reduce fatigue.

Well look what is still hanging around in the bay....
Daiwa New Zealand 7"Bait Ju**ie doing the damage.

Jay had a great day out softbaiting in the bay today. Picking up a Yellowfin tuna on a 7" Bait Ju**ie in Coastline Pumps grid. Weighing in at 23.6kg must have been great fun on 10kg line.

Dan managed to get out of the shop yesterday and take our good friend Shelley Sabin out. They found the YFT. Yes!!!

Not a bad day out yesterday for our very own Dan Hill and Shelley Sabin.
Congratulations to Shelley landing her first ever YFT. Dan also landed 2 YFT. All caught in Northland Farm Services.
