Celebrating 20 years of , great to see how this event has grown over the years, been great to be part of this journey supplying customised tubulars and Caps. Here is a message for Jodie- Twenty years. It's quite hard to believe.
When I think about Spring Challenge and what it means to me, I realise that it has been woven through two decades of my life.
I started out as a racer, experiencing the excitement, nerves, challenges and satisfaction that so many of you know so well. I loved it then, and I still love seeing those same emotions on the faces of women crossing the finish line today.
Over the years, my role changed, and I eventually moved into being the Event Director. What an adventure that has been!
Along the way, Nathan and I have raised our three children, who have quite literally grown up with Spring Challenge. They've experienced the event from the sidelines, behind the scenes and out on the course. It's been part of our family life, our conversations, our holidays and our adventures.
Looking back, I feel incredibly fortunate.
I've watched friendships form, confidence grow, women discover new strengths, and teams return year after year. I've seen mothers racing with daughters, friends encouraging friends, and women doing things they once thought were impossible.
That's the real legacy of Spring Challenge.
It's not the number of events we've organised, or the kilometres raced. It's the people, the friendships, the memories and the positive influence that reaches well beyond race day.
To everyone who has been part of these 20 years, thank you for helping shape something that has become such a special part of my life.
And the exciting thing?
We're not finished yet!
